#163334 - Schematic is trivial! Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Somebody have conected a converter USB-RS232 (FTDI232MB) with a 89S52 or similar? I´d like if somebody could send me or show me some example about the schematic conection. The connection is identical to the connection with any "normal" RS232 port! That is the whole point of these adaptors: to the 89S52 (or whatever) they are indistinguishable from a "real" RS232 port. Similarly to the software at the PC end. Note that FTDI make cables that interface direct to 5V and 3V3 logic levels - so no RS232 Transceiver (MAX232, etc) is required: ![]() http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/...L-232R.htm They are also available as plug-in modules - again, giving a logic-level connection not needing any RS232 transceiver: ![]() http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/...MM232R.htm |
