If the UART detects the error, it sets the bit. For ANY 8051.
If you are using the correct baud rate etc, you should only get Framing errors on a bad telephone line. How you deal with it is up to you. Normally you would want to pause ( to get a correct start bit ) and ask the other terminal to send the data again. David. |
