This chip has the possibility to set a boot vector to the boot loader.
But the NXP doesn't. and so what Once the first Flash pages are erased and for some reason it resets (e.g. Power failure), the device is gone. and with proper coding (you NEVER erase "the first Flash page") will start in the (not erased) boot section of the NORMAL flash. Been there, done that. many have written perfectly safe bootloaders for chips that do not have "boot flash" Erik |
