There are i2c devices that will timeout if they do not receive the ACK. But if you give a deliberate NAK the device will generally decide that the NAK was intentional.
There are SMbus devices that will timeout if they do not receive the ACK. But if you give a deliberate NAK the device will generally decide that the NAK was intentional. the only real difference I know of between SMbus and IIC is that IIC does NOT time out. Erik |
