Can the 8052 dial a phone?
Submitted By: Craig Steiner FAQ Last Modified: 07/10/06
- The 8052 may dial a phone by interfacing the 8052 to a modem via the serial port and executing the appropriate ATD command. If you are producing an embedded system that needs to dial the phone without an external modem, you might consider using an MT8880 (Mitel). This chip will give you complete dialing and call progess monitoring at very little programming cost to the 8052 developer.
